Jay Timmons, president and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers and chairman of the board of The Manufacturing Institute, will be the featured speaker in the next installment of the Cardinal News Speaker Series.
Timmons will speak about the future of advanced manufacturing in our region at a breakfast meeting on Monday, Sept. 12, at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville.
Attendance is free, but seating is limited and registration is required. You can sign up here.
Timmons leads an association that represents 14,000 manufacturers, employing nearly 13 million Americans, and serves as a one-stop shop for manufacturers and manufacturing. To learn more about Timmons and NAM, please visit their website nam.org.
Timmons’ appearance is the second in our series of public speaking events. The first event was in June when Rep. Ro Khanna, the congressman from Silicon Valley, talked in Blacksburg about how smaller communities can build tech hubs.
The Danville event is co-sponsored by American National Bank & Trust Company, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Danville and First Piedmont Corp.
